God designed our bodies to run on fuel that He provided. In this class, students will learn how God designed all of the food that will work to fuel the bodies that He created. We will learn about the six essential nutrients (carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins, minerals and water) and how much of these nutrients we need for optimum health. We will learn the four aspects to living a healthy lifestyle (diet, exercise, relaxation and sleep) and about how being unhealthy can prevent us from carrying out the work that God has planned for us to do for Him. “Don’t you know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God in your body.” 1 Cor. 6:19, 20
