The annual GCA soiree was a huge success. On Friday, May 6, at the Fountain Square Theater, students arrived dressed to the nines and ready to celebrate. Tables were decorated in movie themes, tying in with the theme for the evening, “The Movies That Inspire Us.” A large video screen played comedic movie parodies created by the Broadcast Video Class, and a massive interactive charades competition let teams compete by guessing classic movie titles and quotes. Francis, a dance instructor in Indianapolis, led the students in classic dance moves and helped get everyone on the dance floor. Organizers Cheryl Cruse, Tammy Mobley and Chris Cross, each parents of students who attended, were a few of the primary organizers who helped make the event happen.
