PTF – Secondary School

Every parent is strongly encouraged to seek out opportunities and actively participate in his or her child’s education. Children love to see their parents involved on a regular basis at the school and the school-parent relationship is strengthened by the investment of the parents’ time.
Serving in the manner glorifies Christ

 

Our Mission Statement is to:

• Promote Communication between the school and parents.  To get parents involved in and informed about the activities that benefit their children at GCA.
• Provide an opportunity fir parents to stay involved in their students lives and to contribute to events that support and benefit their children.
• Sponsor school events, such as the school picnic, spirit week, homecoming, academic awards banquet, staff appreciation, Pasta to Performance, ect.

What does the PTF do?

• Welcome Back teacher gifts
• Fall picnic
• Parent/Teacher conferences (meals for teachers)
• Chili Supper/Dessert auction
• Fall Teacher luncheon
• Homecoming/ spirit week
• Pasta to Performance (pasta dinner/talent show)
• Academic Awards
• Teacher Appreciation Week
• Bday cards/gifts for teachers/ staff
• Restaurant/fundraiser nights
• Barnabas Ministry (encouragement ministry to teachers/staff)
• Boxtops
• Wish List for teachers/ staff

 

Vision:

Every parent will be actively involved in using their spiritual gifts and talents by serving teachers, staff, and the school family which facilitates the building up the entire school body in Christ.
