Michael comes to GCA with 26 years of educational experience, most recently serving eight years as CEO and Superintendent at Judah Christian School in Champaign, IL.
He began his educational career in junior high and high school, teaching courses in History, Bible, and US Government. Michael has served as school principal at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels. Building on his experience as a former NCAA Division I athlete, he coached basketball, volleyball, archery, and golf. He also coached for a year at the collegiate level. Mr. Chitty served nine years as an athletic director, and two years as State Athletic Director for the Illinois Association of Christian Schools.
Michael received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Behavioral Science from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas in 1990. He holds a Master of Science degree from Illinois State University (1994), and a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Illinois-Springfield (2010). He is certified through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and holds a Head of School – Professional Educator's certificate.
Mr. Chitty and his wife, Shelley, have been married for 27 years and have 5 children: Hannah (24), Ethan (23), Logan (21), Cade (19), and Luke (13). Luke will be joining GCA’s 8th grade class this fall. Some of his favorite hobbies include archery, hunting, golf, genealogy, cooking, and cheering for his beloved St. Louis Cardinals. His life Bible verse is I Corinthians 10:31.

Spiritual Director, HS Bible
Jason Klingerman joins the GCA family for the 2018-19 school year, serving as the K-12 Cultural Principal. He brings with him over 20 years of experience in Christian education in a variety of roles including student, teacher, soccer coach, dean, and most recently, as principal. Mr. Klingerman has a passion for students’ spiritual formation, discipleship, and service learning. He will assist teachers in their integration of faith and learning in all subjects. He holds a bachelor's degree in English Education (grades 7-12) from Bob Jones University and a master's degree in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University. Mr. Klingerman and his wife, Sarah, have four children and are covenant members of Harvest Bible Chapel North Indy. His hobbies include soccer, exercise, reading, and spending time with family. He shares, “I’m excited to serve as a mentor, coach, and facilitator of all the discipleship programs at GCA. It is my hope to partner with parents, churches, and GCA staff to bolster a high quality Christ-centered education that emphasizes service to the community and obedience to the Great Commission.”
Dean of Students
Kevin Jackson joined the GCA family in 2006 as a High School Social Studies teacher and Chapel Band mentor. In the 2018-19 school year, Mr. Jackson will serve the MS/HS (5-12) teaching staff and students as Academic Dean, and he’ll also be teaching Freshman Bible and Chapel Band. Born and raised a Hoosier, Mr. Jackson is a graduate of Vanderbilt University. He received his teaching license from Indiana Wesleyan, and earned his master’s degree in Educational Psychology with a focus on Leadership and Administration from Ball State University. He has been married for 19 years and has 2 sons who attend GCA. Mr. Jackson has this to say about our school: “I love that GCA is a place where Jesus comes first, where teachers care about the lives of their students, where educators collaborate, and where students come to personally own their faith.”
Chris Cross joined the GCA family in 2011 as a fourth grade teacher. We are excited to announce that she will serve students and faculty as the Academic Dean of Students over PK-4. Mrs. Cross is a graduate of Florida International University and received her teaching certificate from St. Mary of the Woods. She and her husband have been married for 26 years and have 3 children. Her son, Jackson, is a graduate of GCA. Mrs. Cross shares that, “GCA has become an integral part of my life! I love being able to grow and share my faith with students and coworkers alike.”
Middle School & High School Academic Principal
Angelique Randall joined the GCA family in 2016 as the MS/HS principal. Randall received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University, her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana Wesleyan, and received her Principal License in Educational Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan, as well. GCA is so blessed by Mrs. Randall’s leadership and service to the school. Her desire to encourage and inspire every member of the GCA family is best understood in her outlook on Christian education. She notes, “I believe the aim of education is to enrich the lives of students while helping them become articulate, critical thinkers and lifelong learners who are socially responsible, spiritually equipped, active citizens of the world.”
