On Friday evening, Greenwood Christian Academy is hosting "God Moves, " a student-led worship experience through music, media and drama. From 6:30-7:00pm in the auditorium, pay $5 at the door for two slices of Chicago's pizza with a drink, then snag a homemade dessert for only $1. Then from 7:00-8:45pm, enjoy a worship experience as both the middle school and high school chapel bands lead worship, students perform a short drama, and the Broadcast Video class present an original film. Then from 9:00-11:00pm, enjoy an outdoor showing of "God's Not Dead 2."
Teacher Nathan Barrow, who helped organize the event, described the purpose of "God Moves": "'God Moves' is a chance to celebrate our students by allowing them to lead us in worship with their creative skills. I think parents will love seeing how much space students are given to grow in creative worship, and how GCA views that as in important part of discipleship."
The name "God Moves" comes from the school's theme for the year. As explained by Bible teacher Nate Tripp, "The theme 'God Moves' describes how God moves for us, in us and through us."
