GCA TRIPS

In order to become life-long learners, GCA students are encouraged to take advantage of educational opportunities not only in the classroom, but also beyond the borders of our school building by applying classroom knowledge to real life situations.  Lower School students will take field trips around Central Indiana, while Middle and High School students have opportunities to travel greater distances with their classmates.

5th Grade - Bradford Woods Retreat

Students spend two nights learning about leadership and team building during this outdoor education program.

6th Grade - Creation Museum

Students take a field trip to the Creation Museum to see artifacts and develop a greater understanding of biblical history.

7th Grade - Cave Exploration Trip

Students travel to Marengo Cave or Mammoth Cave to experience an environment that includes cave formations and diverse ecosystems.

8th Grade - Washington, D.C.

Students are given the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. to visit, learn and experience our nation’s capital.

Freshmen - Across the River Field Trip

Students visit Louisville and the Slugger Factory and the Falls of the Ohio Park.

Sophomores - College Road Trip

Students visit a college or two in Indiana for the day.

Juniors - Cultural Experience Field Trip

Students visit the Indiana Repertory Theater, the Indianapolis Symphony, or the Palladium for music and culture and visit Old Italy at Ye Olde Spaghetti Factory.

Seniors - Tennessee Trip

Seniors take a class trip in May to a cabin in Gatlinburg to celebrate the end of high school and spend time with their classmates before graduation.
