Grades 1 - 4

While at Greenwood Christian Academy, your elementary student will receive a strong foundation. Our academics cover language, mathematics, social studies, and science. Whether joining in interactive reading groups or solving math mysteries, students experience the excitement of learning. We guide students through the essential components of quality education, such as reading comprehension, critical thinking, problem-solving, knowledge of the world and its history, and written expression. We pair these essentials with the teaching and application of Scripture.

BIBLE courses

We strive to encourage your student in developing a biblical worldview from a young age. From phonics to science, our elementary academics teach students to recognize God daily. We help students understand how their faith connects with not only school but every area of life. Our teachers commit to fostering a secure and trusting environment in which students can build lasting relationships. Above all, the GCA elementary academics focus on character just as much as competency. We desire to see your student grow in Christian maturity.

bible buddies activities

Bible Buddies, connects 7th-12th grade Bible class students with preschool-6th grade buddies. Students meet once a month for a class period with each meeting focusing on either a project, an activity, a craft, or a game. The goal is to build relationships among our students and take advantage of the unique opportunity of being all together on one campus.  We want the GCA community to be a close-knit family, and connecting students with each other is one of the ways we do that. When Bible Buddies meet, it is often hard to tell who it enjoys the time most, the big buddies or the little buddies!

Dean of Students Kevin Jackson shows us what Bible Buddies does with the Greenwood, IN community.

Meet The Principal

Chris Cross joined the GCA family in 2011 as a fourth grade teacher. We are excited to announce that she will serve students and faculty as the Academic Dean of Students over PK-4. Mrs. Cross is a graduate of Florida International University and received her teaching certificate from St. Mary of the Woods. She and her husband have been married for 26 years and have 3 children. Her son, Jackson, is a graduate of GCA. Mrs. Cross shares that, “GCA has become an integral part of my life! I love being able to grow and share my faith with students and coworkers alike.”
